Two 35 sqm rooms that date back to the end of the 18th century, with a direct entrance from the inner courtyard of the masseria. Each room has a fireplace and a vaulted ceiling realized with empty terracotta cylinders with a hole that faces the inner side of the room. The cylinders were used in order to make the structure of the ceiling lighter and at the same time to insulate the room and to function as thermal flywheel. The copper beds from the 1800, not separable, natural latex mattresses, raw cotton sheets and towels, terracotta sinks and olive oil soaps are all details studied to let the energy freely flow in the room and to re-create the atmosphere where our ancestors were living into.
